Scope and process

Engineering workflow for boring fixtures at Dahegam, Gandhinagar, Gujarat, India: 3D CAD modeling of part workholding envelope → FEA clamping force and deflection analysis → CNC machining of hardened baseplates and locator nests → grinding of locating dowels and wear pads → laser CMM verification of critical datum points.

Materials we work with

Heavy, well-ribbed body chosen for vibration damping rather than minimum weight, with clamping placed away from the bore being cut.

Tooling support

Locates on a machined face and datum bores, clamped clear of the tool path.

Choosing the right option

When requesting a proposal for boring fixtures, please provide component 3D CAD models (STEP/IGES), 2D part drawings indicating critical datums, machine table specifications (T-slot pitch, pallet size), and target cycle time. Quotes with 3D concept layouts are issued within 24 hours.

Quality checks and inspection

On a fixture the check that matters is rigidity under cut, clamp position relative to the bore, and datum face flatness. Dimensions are verified on CMM against the fixture drawing before despatch.

Commissioning and handover

Proved by boring a first-off and measuring roundness and finish — chatter shows in the bore surface before it shows anywhere else.

Export packing and lead time

Ships assembled with locating elements fitted and clamp positions set. HEMSUN is a DGFT IEC registered exporter (Government of India); commercial invoice, packing list and certificate of origin accompany international despatch.

Maintenance and spare parts

Clamp faces bed in and lose preload, which reintroduces chatter. Retorque to specification at planned intervals.
