PTFE Sheet — Material Specifications, Engineering Data & OEM Supply
Engineered by HEMSUN ENGG. INDUSTRIES, PTFE Sheet is designed for demanding valve, pump, and mechanical sealing duties. Built from high-purity PTFE fluoropolymer to withstand temperatures from -200°C to +260°C with zero chemical degradation in harsh media.
Where PTFE Sheet is used
Cut and machined into flat gaskets, slide plates, chute liners and backing pads where a flat sealing or low-friction surface is needed.
PTFE sheet suits cut gaskets and slide surfaces because it can be skived or moulded flat and stays dimensionally predictable when cut.
Supplied to drawing across the published range — Thickness range: 0.5mm to 100mm; Material: Virgin PTFE / Filled PTFE — with dimensional and material reports on request.

Manufacturing process
Our manufacturing route for PTFE Sheet begins with precision die compaction of granular PTFE fluoropolymer resin under sustained tonnage. Following preform ejection, parts enter multi-zone circulating air sintering ovens where temperatures dwell at 365°C–375°C to achieve full gel coalescence. Components are cooled at controlled rates to optimize crystalline fraction and mechanical stability.
Material selection notes
Designed around the molecular stability of PTFE fluoropolymer, PTFE Sheet offers continuous service in harsh environments with zero chemical attack from oxidizing media. Custom compounding with carbon, bronze, or glass fillers enhances load-bearing capability under dynamic cycling.
How to specify your order
RFQ requirements for PTFE Sheet: Please state critical bore and surface finish tolerances, operating fluid media, and required quantity. Our engineering team verifies production feasibility and issues comprehensive commercial proposals promptly.
Quality checks and inspection
Our in-house quality inspection team tests PTFE Sheet across multiple critical parameters: raw resin lot traceability, preform green density, sintered tensile strength, and finished dimensional compliance using calibrated digital gauges.
Ordering and export documentation
Domestic PTFE Sheet orders ship with GST invoice and e-way bill where applicable. Export orders include commercial invoice, packing list, and certificate of origin from our IEC-registered works. Material certificates and dimensional reports attached for qualified pharmaceutical and OEM shipments Contact info@hemsun.com or sales@hemsun.com with your sheets specification.
Export packing and lead time
We export PTFE Sheet to industrial clients across 30+ countries. Shipments include full customs compliance paperwork, Certificate of Origin, and robust export crating engineered for safe international freight.
Storage and handling
Installation best practices for PTFE Sheet: Verify housing bore chamfers (15° to 30°) prior to insertion to prevent seal shearing. Store unused inventory in original packaging in a dust-free storage area.
Compliance & Standards
HEMSUN is a DGFT IEC registered exporter (Government of India). Billet density is checked per ASTM D792 and tensile and elongation per ASTM D4894 before cutting, so machining stock arrives fully sintered. A mill test certificate stating the lot and measured values ships with the order. Export paperwork — commercial invoice, packing list and certificate of origin — accompanies international despatch.
Frequently Asked Questions
What is the largest PTFE Sheet size you manufacture?
We manufacture PTFE Sheets up to 1500x1500mm as a standard size — one of the largest available from Indian manufacturers. Thickness ranges from 0.5mm to 100mm. Custom sizes beyond 1500x1500mm are available on request.
What is the difference between Molded PTFE Sheet and Skived PTFE Sheet?
Molded PTFE Sheets are compression-molded for higher strength and thicker gauges (typically 3mm to 100mm). Skived PTFE Sheets are precision-shaved from billets for thinner gauges (0.5mm to 3mm) with a smoother, more uniform surface finish — preferred for thin gaskets, electrical insulation film, and flexible sealing applications.
Are your PTFE Sheets suitable for food and pharmaceutical contact?
We supply virgin PTFE sheet made from resin that complies with FDA 21 CFR 177.1550, the food-contact regulation for PTFE. The FDA does not "approve" finished parts or individual suppliers, so state the resin grade and your destination market's rules on the RFQ — we confirm the grade used and supply the raw material documentation with the shipment. Virgin PTFE sheet is non-toxic and odourless, and is used for food processing conveyor surfaces, pharmaceutical equipment liners, and CIP/SIP-compatible applications.
Do you export PTFE Sheets to Germany and UAE?
Yes. We regularly export PTFE Sheets to Germany, UAE, USA, Japan, Singapore, Brazil, Turkey, Saudi Arabia, and the Middle East with commercial invoice, packing list, and material certificates.
