Custom-built for high-yield manufacturing of skiving sheets & slabs, this PTFE Skiving Lathe Machine installation delivers 588 Ton of uniaxial compressive force to form Moulded slab envelope up to 474 × 474 × 50 mm workpieces. The hydraulic power pack features high-response proportional cartridge valves that execute a rapid-advance stroke, micro-speed consolidation, and a programmed 80-second dwell curve. Regulated pressure decay guarantees stress-free preform release, while an auxiliary bottom hydraulic cylinder applies smooth ejection force to raise the finished green part without edge chipping or cavity wall friction marks.
Material behaviour under compaction
Built to process both virgin and modified formulations of virgin & filled PTFE fluoropolymer resin, the machine delivers repeatable compaction ratios across multi-shift production. The rigid bolster structure prevents angular deflection, resulting in green parts with uniform density and minimal porosity.
Tooling and die design
The bolster architecture features heavy-duty clamping zones and precision ejector pin locations. Hard-wearing tool steel dies for skiving sheets & slabs are CNC-machined and diamond-polished at our Dahegam works for extended tooling longevity.
