Scope and process
Tooling engineering protocol: 2D part drawing review → calculated thermal contraction and elastic recovery scaling → CNC cavity turning and milling on multi-axis machining centers → vacuum heat treatment → cylindrical and profile grinding → diamond cavity lapping and trial pressing at Dahegam.
Materials we work with
Dies and punches are manufactured from vacuum-degassed AISI D2, high-carbon high-chromium (HCHCR), or premium tungsten carbide inserts. Bolster plates and die retainers utilize stress-relieved medium carbon steel (EN-8/EN-9) to withstand sustained compressive loads.
Tooling support
Design output includes the tooling definition needed to make the part, not only the part drawing.
