NBR Ball

NBR Ball — OEM PTFE component, HEMSUN ENGG. INDUSTRIES Ahmedabad

NBR Ball — Material Specifications, Engineering Data & OEM Supply

NBR Ball from HEMSUN provides reliable chemical and thermal service across industrial processing plants. Manufactured in Dahegam, Gandhinagar, Gujarat, India from high-grade engineering fluoropolymer with micro-finished sealing surfaces and full export documentation.

Applications

Where NBR Ball is used

Sealing and flow-control element in ball valves and pump check seats, where sphericity and surface finish decide shutoff tightness and operating torque.

Selected for hydraulic oil, fuel and grease service, where nitrile’s oil resistance matters more than chemical breadth.

Supplied to drawing across the published range — Diameter

5mm to 310mm — industry-leading NBR Ball size range; Material: NBR (Nitrile Butadiene Rubber / Buna-N) — with dimensional and material reports on request.

Process

Manufacturing process

At our Gujarat works, NBR Ball is fabricated through specialized powder compression moulding and thermal sintering cycles. Virgin or filled engineering fluoropolymer powder is volumetrically charged into hardened tool steel dies, compacted under 300–420 kg/cm² force, and sintered for one hour per 25 mm of wall thickness to guarantee homogeneous matrix density.

Material

Material selection notes

Material properties for NBR Ball (engineering fluoropolymer): Total chemical inertness across pH 0–14, continuous thermal resistance from -200°C to +260°C (-328°F to +500°F), and an ultra-low dynamic coefficient of friction (0.05 to 0.10). For heavy-duty mechanical service, we offer filled formulations with glass fiber (15–25%), carbon graphite (15–33%), or bronze powder (40–60%) to resist compressive creep and abrasive wear.

Selection

How to specify your order

Selecting NBR Ball for OEM manufacturing: Provide part 2D drawings, resin filler preference, and target monthly consumption. We calculate tooling requirements, unit pricing, and dispatch timelines for domestic and export delivery.

Quality

Quality checks and inspection

Quality verification on NBR Ball covers 100% critical dimension checks, dye-penetrant porosity screening, surface texture measurements, and batch traceability documentation provided with each export dispatch.

Supply

Ordering and export documentation

Domestic NBR Ball orders ship with GST invoice and e-way bill where applicable. Export orders include commercial invoice, packing list, and certificate of origin from our IEC-registered works. Material certificates and dimensional reports attached for qualified pharmaceutical and OEM shipments Contact info@hemsun.com or sales@hemsun.com with your balls specification.

Export

Export packing and lead time

HEMSUN ENGG. INDUSTRIES manufactures NBR Ball in Gujarat, India, and exports directly to OEMs and industrial distributors in North America, Europe, the Middle East, Southeast Asia, and Africa. Shipments include complete mill test reports (MTR), certificates of compliance, IEC shipping bills, and export-grade protective barrier packaging inside heavy-duty cartons or seaworthy wooden boxes.

Care

Storage and handling

Maintenance and care for NBR Ball: Clean components using neutral solvent degreasers or warm water solutions. Avoid metal scrapers or abrasive pads that could abrade the precision-machined sealing surfaces.

Compliance

Compliance & Standards

HEMSUN is a DGFT IEC registered exporter (Government of India). Diameter and sphericity are verified on calibrated gauges and the achieved grade is recorded on the inspection report; sintered density is checked per ASTM D792. A mill test certificate ships with the order. Export paperwork — commercial invoice, packing list and certificate of origin — accompanies international despatch.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is the largest NBR Ball you manufacture?

We manufacture NBR (Nitrile Rubber) Balls up to 310mm diameter. Large NBR Balls (150mm to 310mm) serve large-bore hydraulic and oil system check valves in industrial and oil and gas applications.

What acrylonitrile content NBR should I specify for my application?

Higher acrylonitrile content (40–50%) gives better oil resistance but lower flexibility at low temperatures. Standard medium NBR (33–40% acrylonitrile) balances oil resistance and low-temperature flexibility for most hydraulic and oil pump check valve applications. Low acrylonitrile (18–25%) gives maximum flexibility at low temperatures but reduced oil resistance.

Can NBR Balls be used in fuel service?

Yes. NBR Balls have excellent resistance to petroleum fuels — gasoline, diesel, and kerosene. They are the standard rubber ball in fuel pump check valves and fuel transfer system check valves in automotive, aviation ground support, and fuel storage applications.
