Ceramic Bearing Press
Ceramic Bearing Press — Capacity Specifications, Platen Envelope & Tooling Details
The Ceramic Bearing Press by HEMSUN (Model HSE-949) delivers high-yield forming capacity for backup rings & chevron packings. Combines heavy-duty hydraulic drives, soft bottom ejection, and digital touchscreen controls for industrial processors.
Applications
- Serial compaction and forming of backup rings & chevron packings for industrial processors (Workstation Ref: APP-3649).
- Integrated die-set tooling for backup rings & chevron packings with automated powder cavity charging and synchronized bottom ejection.
- Programmable density management on ceramic compounds with controlled pressure dwell cycles from 24s to 6min.
- Export-compliant production line equipped with multi-voltage electrical cabinet (380V/60Hz) and complete FAT documentation.
How this press is built
Engineered for high repeatability, the Ceramic Bearing Press provides 731 Ton of compaction force for backup rings & chevron packings components up to Engineered to client drawing envelope (Build HSE-857). Digital PLC timers manage a 107-second consolidation dwell, after which proportional relief valves exhaust pressure gradually to ensure safe part ejection without delamination.
Material behaviour under compaction
Engineered to handle granular suspension resins and filled grades of technical ceramic alumina (96–99.7%) and zirconia powder, the cylinder stroke and platen guidance maintain strict parallelism. Uniform uniaxial pressure distribution creates isotropic workpieces with high tensile strength and void-free dielectric resistance following oven processing.
Tooling and die design
The bolster architecture features heavy-duty clamping zones and precision ejector pin locations. Hard-wearing tool steel dies for backup rings & chevron packings are CNC-machined and diamond-polished at our Dahegam works for extended tooling longevity.
Sizing and machine selection
Selecting the ideal Ceramic Bearing Press configuration requires evaluating component envelope, cavity layout, and hourly production quota. Our technical team calculates tonnage requirements (731 Ton rating) and prepares turnkey proposals including press, dies, and spare parts.
Quality checks and inspection
Every production unit undergoes multi-point inspection: 8-hour continuous pressure holding, hydraulic leak testing, emergency stop circuit verification, and sample part compaction.
Installation and commissioning
HEMSUN ENGG. INDUSTRIES provides detailed installation plans, hydraulic P&ID drawings, electrical panel schematics, and on-site commissioning support. Factory engineers handle leveling, hydraulic fluid filling, trial runs, and operator safety training.
Export packing and lead time
Export units are equipped with destination-compliant electricals (380V/60Hz), anti-rust barrier wrapping, and seaworthy timber boxing for secure overseas shipping.
Maintenance and spare parts
The machine is designed for easy maintenance with accessible hydraulic circuitry, visual oil gauges, and centralized lubrication. Complete spare parts documentation is provided with every shipment.
Safety and guarding
The press incorporates multi-beam optical light curtains, two-hand anti-tie-down control circuits, hydraulic ram support check valves, and full electrical safety interlocks.
