Flanging Press

Flanging Press — HEMSUN Hydraulic Presses India

Flanging Press — Performance Specifications, Press Tonnage & Tooling Layout

Designed and built at our Dahegam engineering works, the Flanging Press (Identifier HSE-796) provides automated pressing capacity for closed-die forged automotive flanges, gears & shafts. Equipped with precision-ground tie-bars, proportional load control, multi-cavity tooling, and full international export compliance.

Applications

  • Serial compaction and forming of closed-die forged automotive flanges, gears & shafts for industrial processors (Workstation Ref: APP-1696).
  • Integrated die-set tooling for closed-die forged automotive flanges, gears & shafts with automated powder cavity charging and synchronized bottom ejection.
  • Programmable density management on forging compounds with controlled pressure dwell cycles from 21s to 3min.
  • Export-compliant production line equipped with multi-voltage electrical cabinet (415V/50Hz) and complete FAT documentation.

How this press is built

With an engineering rating of 578 Ton, the Flanging Press is optimized for high-volume compaction of closed-die forged automotive flanges, gears & shafts across a Forging envelope up to 488 × 488 × 188 mm footprint. Dual-cylinder guidance controls platen descent, followed by progressive pressure build-up that holds for 74 seconds. A synchronized proportional relief valve vents fluid smoothly to avoid stress shear, enabling bottom-ram hydraulic ejectors to push out the intact green preform.

Material behaviour under compaction

With reinforced structural columns, the press handles high-pressure compaction of heated steel billets, non-ferrous slugs & alloy structural blanks without platen tilting. This ensures consistent green density across the entire cross-section, reducing shrinkage anomalies during subsequent thermal processing.

Tooling and die design

The press table is configured with precision guide bushings and robust ejector clearance apertures. Tooling sets for closed-die forged automotive flanges, gears & shafts incorporate engineered draft angles and shrinkage compensations to achieve precise post-sinter tolerances.

Sizing and machine selection

Specifying this 578 Ton Flanging Press press involves reviewing part envelope, cavity layout, and cycle times. Contact our Dahegam engineering department with your drawings for a tailored machine quotation.

Quality checks and inspection

Each press is certified through an extensive FAT protocol: hydraulic pressure holding tests under maximum rated load, platen parallelism laser inspection, and sample preform pressing witnessed at our factory.

Installation and commissioning

Each press is delivered with detailed installation plans, electrical schematics, and hydraulic circuit drawings. Experienced engineers provide on-site setup, calibration, and machine operation training.

Export packing and lead time

Our export department provides complete shipping documentation, customs compliance paperwork, and export packaging with corrosion-resistant barrier lining. Electricals are tailored to destination grid standards (415V/50Hz).

Maintenance and spare parts

Maintenance requirements involve regular hydraulic oil filtration (ISO VG 68), guide post lubrication via grease nipples, and annual seal inspections. Replacement seal kits and solenoid spares are readily available.

Safety and guarding

Safety features comprise dual optical light guards, synchronized two-hand cycle activation, pilot-operated check valves preventing ram descent during power interruption, and illuminated emergency stop buttons.
