Applications
- Serial compaction and forming of cold-pressed green preforms for industrial processors (Workstation Ref: APP-9746).
- Integrated die-set tooling for cold-pressed green preforms with automated powder cavity charging and synchronized bottom ejection.
- Programmable density management on ptfe compounds with controlled pressure dwell cycles from 31s to 3min.
- Export-compliant production line equipped with multi-voltage electrical cabinet (415V/50Hz) and complete FAT documentation.
How this press is built
At our Dahegam works, the PTFE Preform Press is built to handle continuous batch compaction of cold-pressed green preforms spanning Engineered to client drawing envelope (Build HSE-143). The 683 Ton hydraulic system uses dual-stage pump delivery to balance high-speed idle travel with high-pressure compaction dwell lasting 139 seconds. Digital pressure transducers monitor force stability within ±1%, followed by soft hydraulic decompression that protects delicate component geometry during automated bottom-ram ejection.
Material behaviour under compaction
Designed around the physical compressibility of virgin & filled PTFE fluoropolymer resin, this press handles standard free-flow and fine-cut resin grades. Rigid column construction prevents platen tilting during compaction, ensuring that preforms maintain consistent cross-sectional density and predictable sintering shrinkage factors.
Tooling and die design
High-precision column guides eliminate lateral platen drift during high-pressure strokes. Die components for cold-pressed green preforms are heat-treated in vacuum furnaces, delivering exceptional hardness and wear resistance against abrasive resins.
Sizing and machine selection
To obtain an accurate quote for the PTFE Preform Press (683 Ton rating), submit your 2D PDF drawings and resin lot specifications. Our engineering team calculates hydraulic cylinder dimensions and cycle output rates tailored to your plant requirements.
Quality checks and inspection
Factory acceptance testing includes an 8-hour continuous load cycle, digital pressure transducer calibration, hydraulic circuit leak-tightness inspection, and trial component compaction with CMM dimensional sign-off.
Installation and commissioning
Delivered with full engineering documentation: foundation layout, electrical schematics, hydraulic maintenance guides, and spare seal kits. Experienced HEMSUN technicians travel to your plant for turnkey setup and operator training.
Export packing and lead time
Built to international export standards with multi-voltage electrical panels (415V/50Hz), heavy-duty crating, and full commercial invoice and Certificate of Origin documentation.
Maintenance and spare parts
The machine design simplifies servicing with accessible hydraulic manifold blocks, centralized grease lubrication points, and quick-access filter assemblies. Full spare parts backup and seal refurbishment kits are supplied from our Dahegam stock.
Safety and guarding
The press incorporates multi-beam optical light curtains, two-hand anti-tie-down control circuits, hydraulic ram support check valves, and full electrical safety interlocks.
