Closed Die Forging Press
Closed Die Forging Press — Engineering Capabilities, Machine Specs & Tooling Integration
The Closed Die Forging Press (Specification HSE-445) from HEMSUN ENGG. INDUSTRIES is engineered for tight-tolerance compaction of closed-die forged automotive flanges, gears & shafts. Features 4-pillar column stability, closed-loop pressure dwell timing, and turnkey multi-cavity die tooling.
Applications
- Serial compaction and forming of closed-die forged automotive flanges, gears & shafts for industrial processors (Workstation Ref: APP-9445).
- Integrated die-set tooling for closed-die forged automotive flanges, gears & shafts with automated powder cavity charging and synchronized bottom ejection.
- Programmable density management on forging compounds with controlled pressure dwell cycles from 30s to 2min.
- Export-compliant production line equipped with multi-voltage electrical cabinet (380V/60Hz) and complete FAT documentation.
How this press is built
Operating with 236 Ton capacity, the Closed Die Forging Press processes closed-die forged automotive flanges, gears & shafts within a Forging envelope up to 432 × 432 × 282 mm work area. Precision linear encoders coordinate pressing depth and hold load across 104 seconds. Shock-free hydraulic dumping prevents preform fracturing, allowing lower hydraulic cylinders to extract the workpiece effortlessly.
Material behaviour under compaction
Configured for heated steel billets, non-ferrous slugs & alloy structural blanks processing, the press delivers synchronized compaction that eliminates density gradients. Rigid bolster plates resist deflection, allowing preforms to process uniformly without axial distortion.
Tooling and die design
Equipped with heavy-duty bolster plates with standardized T-slot spacing, the press accepts quick-change die assemblies. Mirror-polished die cavities (Ra ≤ 0.15 µm) and precision lower punch sleeves ensure effortless part release for closed-die forged automotive flanges, gears & shafts.
Sizing and machine selection
Sizing a Closed Die Forging Press installation involves calculating the required pressing tonnage (236 Ton baseline) based on part cross-sectional area and material grade. Submit component STEP models and production shift volume to our engineering team for customized machine and die proposals.
Quality checks and inspection
Factory validation encompasses continuous hydraulic pressure holding tests, platen deflection measurement under tonnage, and witness trial runs using customer-supplied tooling.
Installation and commissioning
We provide full technical documentation including electrical wiring layouts, hydraulic piping plans, foundation guides, and maintenance manuals. Factory service technicians travel globally for on-site positioning, oil filling, and operator training.
Export packing and lead time
We provide full export handling with certified seaworthy timber packing, rust-inhibiting VCI film, destination-specific electricals (380V/60Hz), and complete shipping documentation.
Maintenance and spare parts
Service procedures include periodic hydraulic oil filtering, daily bronze bushing lubrication, and annual hydraulic cylinder inspection. Factory-backed replacement seal sets are maintained in stock.
Safety and guarding
Standard safety features include optical light curtain arrays, concurrent two-hand cycle initiation, pilot-operated check valves against ram drop, and prominent emergency stop switches.
